Joy Berey is the Founder and CEO of Global Healthcare Recruitment. Global Healthcare Recruitment was established by Joy in May 2015. Joy is a Registered nurse with 27 years Clinical experience and worked in hospitals abroad and Ireland.
Gerontology is Joys passion. Her devotion and dedication to gerontology nursing made her establish the recruitment agency. Joy who experienced being the nurse recruited abroad to work in Ireland knows the stress involve in the process of settling and adopting to the new country. The support of the agency is prerequisite in the success of the recruit. The expectations of candidates and employers must be identified and met to make sure the transition of each candidate is supported to attain the level of success of the candidate and the employer. Joy has been the Director of Nursing in one of the nursing homes in Cork and believes in achieving excellent care by providing person centred care to every patient. She is also the present Chairperson of Nursing Home Ireland- south region for three consecutive years.

I'm Irish Gumadlas and I am a nurse by profession. I used to work as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse in the Philippines. In 2019, I decided to take one of the biggest risks in my life, to pursue my profession in Ireland. It was never an easy journey for me but with courage, confidence and most importantly trust with the man above, I arrived in Ireland in September 2019. Took my RCSI exam the week after I landed in the country and was licensed thereafter.
I am now a registered nurse here in Ireland, working full time. I have been here for more than 2 years now and loving every curve and crevices of my Irish journey. One of the most promising things that Ireland has offered me, is the opportunity to bring my family here. I was united with my husband and son a year later. I am yet to discover more of my journey as an Irish nurse and citizen of this community, and I am surely looking forward to it.
